Howdy!

Thank you for reading this! These are my first ever maps ever made for Ring Racers, and also first time
ever working with HVR. And boy was it an experience to learn! A lot of pain and sweat was poured into this
mapping jam project and hopefully it paid off well enough.

And now for some creator's notes!

Marisa Land Zone Act 1:

Again, this was my first time ever using HVR and designing a race track. So the idea was to not get too
ambitious right off the bat, going with a simpler design that still plays with a main gimmick. And those
being the Moon Panels. Now for such a simple track, I feel like there were still some rookie mistakes here
and there. But these are mistakes that I feel are a bit too far in to do much about, so I'll just leave them in
and carry on forward with the experience gained from this one. It's probably a C-Tier track at best, but I'm
still pretty proud of how this one turned out!

Marisa Land Zone Act 2:

As for this one, I knew from the start that I wanted to make a Sprint Map. Inspired by Mario Kart Arcade GP
and the Intermission courses from Mario Kart World... I originally wanted this one to be an in-between course
to the real Act 2 which would've been an Athletic-themed course that ramps up the Moon Panel-shenanigans even
further. However this turned out to be a bit too ambitious considering how much time the first course took, so
I just settled with this being the Act 2 instead. Maybe a Director's Cut could be made in the future, perhaps....?

Regardless, yeah first Sprint Map ever designed and this one takes place underground. I didn't have too much
interesting material to go with for references to the source material, so instead I took a page out of
Mushroom Gorge and when with a gimmick of large bouncy mushrooms. (Shoutouts to Diggle for the idea being taken
from their Mushroom Spires map for SRB2Kart.... eheh).

But yeah the goal with this map was to expand on the Moon Panel gimmick with the bouncing mushroom, which in the
end I ended up liking the idea of drifting into the Moon Panel and retaining your drift status as you bounce
from mushroom to mushroom and fastfalling to control your bounces. Ring Racers's mechanics did help making this
gimmick pretty fun and I hope peoples find it equally as fun. As for flaws, I probably could've made the course
a tad bit longer as it's a tad bit on the short side. I feel like this one is gonna be pretty frontrun heavy and
CPUs tend to struggle bouncing between the mushrooms so don't expect them to be a threat if you play with CPUs.

Still in the end... I'm also proud of this one and hopefully players will find at least some enjoyment in it.

And there's that for the notes. Thank you cerv.id for hosting this Map Jam. It was a fun time for a first timer
like me, and hopefully the maps won't be too bad for everyone to race on. Now onto the credits.

Most of the sprites and textures (Except for the backgrounds and the easter egg) was made by me, albeit based
on graphics from the Super Marisa Land series. A Mario parody series based on the Touhou Project, made by
Twilight Frontiers.

The sky background for both Acts are taken from Super Marisa Land.

The Easter Egg sprites are taken from New Super Marisa Land. Can you find them all? There's two in each Act.

Again, special mention to Diggle for essentially stealing the bouncing mushroom gimmick in Act 2 from their
Mushroom Spires map for SRB2Kart.

The sound bit from the Easter Egg was made using this Text-to-Speech program: https://yukkuritalk.com/

Thank you for downloading this! Have fun!
